October Art Workshops and Events

Learn new techniques, try out interesting materials &
make seasonal gifts.

Special projects are offered every Saturday. Projects take about one hour to complete and are open to ages 4 to adult. Children younger than 8 require an adult helper.
In Arlington, project may not be available until 3:00 pm (call to check)
Instruction is always free; a fee is charged for materials.

Saturday October 3: Mini Pumpkin Patch Mini pumpkin PatchCelebrate the season by decorating mini pumpkins and gourds with paint or our special (and beautiful) Decopatch papers ($12-15)

October 10: Monsterous MaskMaskRecipe: one putrid papier mache mask, a ridiculous rainbow of paints, one baleful brush, and your creatively creepy cranium. Makes one horrible Halloween decoration.

October 17: Spooky Sand Art sand art halloweenIt’s a dark and spooky night. An ominous owl sits on the bare branch of a terrible tree, A ghost glides above jeering jack-o-lanterns. What else is happening? You tell the story with your spooky sand art painting. ($10)

October 24: Glow-in-the-Dark SkullPaper Mache SkullHead will roll! Decorate a life-size papier mache skull with heart-pounding designs. Paint it to glow in the dark as the perfect Halloween party centerpiece or with floral designs for a Day of the Dead decoration. ($18 )
