All children need the opportunity to express themselves through art. We've created our Early Artist program to provide individual support to several children each year and to make a contribution to art in their schools through a donation of materials.

Each year we select 4 children who will be invited to create art in our studio as our guests. Their artwork is displayed in our studio and on our website for all to enjoy.

The selected child Artist is invited for 4 studio visits to Artbeat. At each visit the Artist can make a different art project of their choosing.

How Are Early Artists Chosen?

Each Early Artist is selected from all applications received by the selection date. Our goal during the selection process is to choose a child who we feel can both benefit from an artistic experience and add artistic enrichment to their community.

Our decision is based largely on the thoughtful answers given on the application. Each child should only enter once, as all applications received during the year will be considered each time. No child will be chosen more than once.

Applications are accepted throughout the year, and selection is made on August 31, December 31, March 31, and June 30. Studio visits are scheduled
during the 4 weeks following selection. More details about this program are
